2019 The Year of The Release

Happy New Year to everyone! I am excited to know that we all have made it through another year! God has been faithful to us all! I decided to write this blog today because I wanted to be transparent and to share what 2018 meant to me personally and what I believe 2019 has in store for the body of Christ.

In 2017, the Lord spoke to me during prayer one morning and He let me know that 2018 was going to be the year of the “reset” for my household. When you look up the word reset in the dictionary, it means to set again; to change the reading of something to zero; to adjust or fix in a new or different way. Let me tell you, all those definitions proved themselves true in 2018! Our lives went in a totally different direction than what we were expecting or even planned for. During this reset, we began to suffer financial and material losses, and at the same time I started to experience increased health challenges. My faith was tried in ways that I have never experienced before. It felt like at times that we were being forsaken or forgotten and that the promises of God were so far off that we would never get to experience them. Have you ever been there before? All that you thought was right, seemed to go left!?

Once I got over the initial shock of what was going on, I began to seek the Lord to give me more insight on what the reset was really about. He began to show me that there was a greater plan for our lives and that what we were experiencing was a necessary part of the process. God wanted us to know Him in a way that we have never experienced Him before. He wants to display His works and reveal His glory in our lives just like He did for the blind man in John Chapter 9. Job 42:5 NLT says, “I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes!” And I believe that’s what He desires for all His children; not only to hear about His goodness, but to experience it with our own eyes. It may be a seemingly painful process, but He loves us so much that He will change the very course of our lives, just to position us to experience His goodness and faithfulness in ways we could never imagine! Oh, how He loves us!

So, for me 2018 may have produced some unexpected storms, but it also birthed some things out of me as well. I finally wrote my first book! I also launched my jewelry and product line that represents my Victorious Women of Purpose brand! I have seen God do miracles right before my eyes! This season has also taught me how to be grateful in everything, because whether you believe it or not, it could always be worse. Even though the storm may not be over, it’s surely passing over and I can see the breaking of day! So that leads me to what I see for the body of Christ concerning 2019.

In 2019, I believe that this will be the year that God begins to release things to those who have been faithful, steadfast, unmovable, and obedient in spite of trials, tribulations, hardships, and painful circumstances. 1 Peter 5:10 ESV says, “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” But you must be determined to win by living your life IN purpose and ON purpose and possess all that the Lord has in store for you in 2019. You must remain in your rightful position or stance in order to receive what He wants to release to you. No excuses! No matter what! Leave nothing undone! Complete the task and reach your goals! Again, I say, BE DETERMINED TO WIN! Every season of your life can be your winning season! I pray you have a prosperous and blessed year!
